So these two are different aspects and we should keep these things separate to choose a dream career. Self-analysis will help you to explore your hidden interests or hidden talents.
At a younger age, I used to love drawings, writings. But I was good at mathematics and the Sanskrit language. Before choosing a dream career I always used to spread my energy in all these directions but deep inside I wanted to be a teacher.
Know your strength
As we discussed earlier interest and strength are different things. It may be possible that we love something but we are good at different things. So before choosing a dream job, we should pay attention to our strengths because strength is something which we can do in a better way without putting in the extra effort. And in this way, your strength will be the most important aspect to decide what you want and what you can do.
I was having multiple areas of interest but solving a complex mathematical problem quickly was my strength. So I always used to focus on my strength more than my interests.
Know your comfort
In spite of having multiple interests and strengths, our comfort can be in different areas. And this is exactly the plus point for choosing a dream career. Because you can be comfortable in a completely different direction. Comfort in a specific area is a thing that you can achieve a lot without taking any burden. We often see that people complete their graduation in the engineering or medical field but they choose to study for government exams (which is having a different syllabus).
I was comfortable in explaining concepts to my friends and my friends suggested me to pursue a career in teaching because I did an excellent job for them by explaining the concepts of every subject in an easier way.
Select particular stream
After self-analysis, it is a very important step in building a dream career where you need to make some decisions. You need to select a particular stream. And once you enter into the stream you can finish your initial studies with the stream which is always a mandatory step for doing a dream job. Keeping your strength and comfort in mind you need to make a decision that can change your whole life.
After self-analysis, I realized that I am good in mathematics and have an interest in computers so I decided to go for the engineering stream and completed a post-graduation in computers.
Increase skillset
Every stream uses multiple technologies or methods so getting more knowledge about the latest trends in our own stream to increase a skillset plays a master card in your career path.
While pursuing my post-graduation I came to know about the company InsideAIML, they provide various courses which are very essential to increase the skillset to build a career in Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science.
Put your efforts
Without any genuine efforts, we can’t achieve success. Putting 100% true efforts while leading towards the dream job is very important. Practice is key to prepare for a dream job.
Before starting a career I used to spend time doing projects using various programming languages. Also, I used to do research on various topics and write research papers. These things played a vital role in getting a dream job.
Patience and precedence
Giving priority to things and being patient is the very important part and it may take some time even more time. So without losing patience being constant is a step involved in achieving a dream career.
When I started searching for a job I applied on various job portals visited many places personally but I faced rejection in the beginning. Instead of losing hope, I started learning from previous interview experiences. And after 5 rejections I get an offer letter for my dream job.
How to find a career
Being an IT person very first thing I did is I register on various job portals and updated my profile with all academic details, internship details, project details, and my publication details. Instead of spending time on social media I used to spend time on LinkedIn and started preparing for interviews. I always used to take an online quiz to check my knowledge. One step is still constant after getting a job and that is learning various trends and technologies. So this was my journey to find my dream job.
